Hi List I am a new subscriber to this list. I am researching the following STEPHANS Frederick (Wilhelm) STEPHAN born Langanbielau, Silesia, Germany 16 Feb 1827. Married Anna Karoline SCHOBEL (SCHEBEL) in Germany (date and whereabouts unknown). They emigrated to Queensland Australia on the "Charles Dickens" in 1877. Frederick was a farmer in Langanbielau. They had the following children 1. Caroline Johanna STEPHAN born Langanbielau around 1853. 2. Fredrich (Wilhelm) STEPHAN born 18 May 1857 at Langanbielau 3. Carl (Charles STEPHAN born 17 Jan 1861 at Langanbielau. Died 1923 at Templin Queensland Australia. (My great great grandfather) 4. Anna Louise STEPHAN born 1862 Langanbielau 5. Gustav Adolf STEPHAN born August 1866 at Langanbielau 6. Henrich Ernst STEPHAN born 24 May 1869 at Langanbielau. 7. Carl Gustav STEPHAN born 12 Sep 1870 at Langanbielau. 8. Bertha Augustus STEPHAN born 5 June 1875 at Langanbielau 9. Ida STEPHAN born 1876 at Langanbielau died on the voyage to Australia. All of the above children are believed to have died in Australia. I have some death certificate information. My GG grandfather Carl STEPHAN married Wilhelmine Johanna LABUDDA (LaBudde) 18 August 1880 at the Lutheran Church, Ipswich Queensland Australia. They had the largest family in Australasia of 22 children. I have information about those 22 children. I understand that Langanbielau is south of Breslau in the Eulengebige (Owl Mountains) in Poland. It was a village estate of 18564 persons in Kreis Reichenbach, Schlesien. Any information about the STEPHAN family would be appreciated. Many thanks Terri Foley New Zealand
