I have three....all the same name. My g.g.grandfather was Robert Ross Steele, born Nov. 19, 1820 in Mecklenburg County, NC..married Margaret Brown. He died July 9, 1899. My g.father was Robert Ross Steele, born June 29, 1861 in Meck. Cty, NC, married Sarah Mills and died July 2, 1932. They reared their family in Chester County, SC My father was Robert Ross Steele, born Dec. 27, 1903, married Eula Myers, and died Jan. 28, 1973. We were reared in Charlotte, NC. I hope this may be a link...I have nothing earlier than the first Robert Ross Steele.
