He was born 1815 in Mass. He for many years was a blacksmith. In later years he said he was a steelworker. He married Letty Margaret Winters abt 1839. She died abt 1856/58. He then married a lady named Catherine and had a second family. The children of the first marriage are: Maria m. a Mr. Gould and Alexander Francis; Letty; George; William;Abraham; Margaret;Thomas;and possible Daniel James. Daniel James could be the first born son of the second marriage. I believe that he may have died about 1892 in Paterson, New Jersey.
