It's funny you should mention Alexander Steele because that is the name I'm stuck at right now. I have an 1850 index list of Steele which I've been going through looking for a match for me. I might have a match with an Alexander. He is from Alleganey county and Alleganey ward but there are 4-5 wards and the index doesn't give the ward. I see two Alexander Steels from 1850 index also, but they have no E on the end. They are located in Lawrence county . One is in Pulaski Twp and the other in North Be.... something. Are they your people? Chuck
