John Steele (Presbyterian minister in Carlisle) was also a reknown Indian fighter during the French and Indian War in PA. His son, Capt. John Steele, II, actually was in the VA militia during the Revolution, but was living in Carlisle at the time, along with his wife, Agnes Moore.
