He married Isabella Gorrell, also born there in 1806. They were in Indiana in 1826, Ohio in 1832 and Iowa in 1843. Scott's parents were supposed to have been John Steele and Nancy Goodnight, but that is all family lore. For that matter, being born in Beaver County is family lore !
