I find Jackson Herrin, born 30 April 1835 died Putnam County, 27 October 1913, plus Kitty (Henley?) born December 1, 1838 died 26 March 1901, apparently buried in Dobbs Cemetery in Putnam (or White?) County. I have Jackson Herrin as enlisting 1863 in Company C, 1st TN Mtd Infantry. Now, Were these the parents of Francis M. Herrin, born 12 May 1864 died April 6, 1939 who married Mary "Barr???" If I'm looking at this correctly, Francis M. and Mary Herrin were parents of Warren Frank Herrin who married Martha Bell Steele. They're buried in Bascom Cemetery in McMinnville, Warren County, TN. I'm confused as to Jackson Herrin's parents. Was his first name, by chance, RICHARD Jackson Herrin? And were his parents William Herrin born 1811, who married Mary Angeline VICKERS???? This family seems to also tie in to Delilah Herrin who married William Steele Jr. It appears her mother was Mary Vickers. I am having difficulty keeping track with these people. William and Delia Steele are buried in Maynard Cemetery, Cherry Hill, DeKalb County, TN. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
