My first Steele's settled in Charles County, MD, migrated to Southwest VA and then to KY. David Steele, b,1803 in Tazewell County, VA married Matilda Claypool and they lived, for a time, in Malone, Morgan County, KY. However, they both died in VA. Their son, Jeremiah, married Martha Lockhart and they moved to Morgan County, KY. They had 9 children together, one of whom was my great grandfather. George Washington Steele. My grandfather, Stanley Steele, went to Bell County, TX where he met and married my grandmother, Ollie Canada. After a few years, they moved back to Morgan County, KY and about 20 years later, they moved to Ohio, near Cincinnati. I have considerable history on these Steele's. Are they a part of your family?
