James, was my great-grandfather. His daughter Elsie, was my grandmother. Just an aside...the Steele "physical resemblances" have carried on down through the years. My grandmother, and some of her sons bore very strong resemblances to the elder Steeles. When the filming of the documentary " An Officer, But Not A Gentleman" was being made, we found it to be very exciting, as much of the filming took place at my mother's house.
