The Steels & the Alstons came to Sydney in 1841 aboard the sailing ship "The Herald". Robert Steel (son of the immigrants Thomas & Eliza) married married Janet Laurie Alston in 1854 and had 11 children. etc etc I can tell you a lot more later. Have a look at the NSW BD&M index - I'm not sure if you have seen this, it is free (as far as the index is concerned).
