Do you have Minerva Steele born about 1819? She married 1833 in Adams to Garrett Williamson. Then 1836 in Jefferson to Richard Grooms. I know the Jefferson County marriage was performed by R. D. Smith, M.M.C.G. (Methodist). According to church records held at Millsaps, he served at Coles Creek, Harriston, Fayette, and Cane Ridge. I found the will in Adams of a Robert Steele who left part of his estate to the 4 daughters (unnamed) of his brother James. Does any of that fit with your Steele line? Any guidance appreciated.
