Services will be at St. Malachy's Catholic Church in Geneseo. The Rev. Michael Pakula will officiate. Visitation will be from at Myers Chapel, Stackhouse-Moore Funeral Services in Geneseo. A parish rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to Beverly Steele Memorial Scholarship Fund. Mr. Steele was born Dec. 27, 1930, in Avery, the son of John and Gertrude Thompson Steele. He married Beverly Kurriger on July 14, 1956, in Muscatine. She died on Jan. 2, 1996. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War Period. He was head of the department of radiology at the former St. Joseph's Hospital in Keokuk from 1956 until 1976. He was then head of radiology department at Hammon-Henry Hospital in Geneseo from 1976 until retiring in 1992. He was a member of St. Malachy's Catholic Church in Geneseo. Survivors include a daughter Susan Riley and her husband, Joseph, of East Moline; a son Mark Steele and his wife, Taley, of Cincinnati, Ohio; sisters, Glendola Reinier of Muscatine and Barbara Stanley of Oregon; brothers, Murl Hume of Unionville, Mo.; Jerry Steele, Phillip Steele, both of Muscatine and Bob Steele of Davenport. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly and a brother. ==================== Source Muscatine Iowa Journal Don L. Steele, 52, Tiffin, died Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2006, at his home after an illness of one year. The Rev. Jim Loader will officiate the services. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Bloomville, Ohio. Services: Christ's Church, Tiffin, Ohio. Visitations: Lindsey-Olds Funeral Home, Bloomville. Memorials may be made to F.A.C.T., P.O. Box 624, Tiffin, OH 44883. Mr. Steele was born Sept. 1, 1953, in Lincoln, Neb., the son of Arthur and Frances Richmond Steele. He married Christine Knight on March 11, 1972 and they later divorced. He married Mary Lou Ohl on July 2, 1988, in Muscatine. He was a 1972 graduate of Westside High School, Omaha, Neb., and a member of Christ's Church, Tiffin. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, reading and Nebraska football. He was a true entrepreneur who owned and operated many businesses; his latest accomplishments were being president and CEO of Fast Cash of America and Express Tax Place. Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou Steele of Tiffin; his father, Arthur Steele of Lincoln; three proud sons, Michael Steele and wife Nicole and Jeffrey Steele and wife Melissa, all of Muscatine, and Sean L. Steele at home in Tiffin; five grandchildren, Colton, Alexandria, Gabriella, Kalb and Abigail Steele, all of Muscatine; a brother, Bob Steele and wife Pat of Omaha, Neb.; two sisters, Leslie Flynn and husband Randy of Denver, Colo. and Sydney Kolb and husband Rick of Lincoln. He was preceded in death by a sister, Jeannie Conner; his mother; and his father-in-law, Robert E. Ohl. ====================== Source Muscatine Iowa Journal Agnes Mae Bailey Steele, 95, Muscatine, died Thursday, Oct. 19, 2006, at her home. Graveside services: Soldiers Circle, Oakland Cemetery, Fort Madison. The Rev. Charles Zeck will officiate. Per her wishes, her body has been cremated. Barr Memorial Chapel, Fort Madison, is handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for the Pentecostal Church of Muscatine. She was born Dec. 22, 1910, in Carterville, Ill. Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Schumaker-Kording and husband Glenn of Muscatine; and a granddaughter, Christy Slutts and husband Scott of Muscatine.
