Author: lapuma22 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.steele/3128.1.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: my folks were from co. donegal, a town called three trees---this is near londonderry, i guess 5 miles away. my folks left from londonderry in 1852 and went to st. john, new brunswick, canada. the more i dig into the steel(e)'s the more i believe that the whole clan emmigrated from scotland down to ireland at some point. i thought that we may have had a connection (at least one that was fairly close). happy hunting!
