The Quakers have excellent records that are readily available, many on line. Also many libraries have the Quaker records available in the reference sections. I don't happen to have the sites bookmarked, but have used the Quaker records extensively back to Europe and they are very easy to follow. My husband has long Quaker lines and we were even able to find out when his g grandfather was banished from the Quaker faith for marrying outside the faith, plus several other reasons. Documentation is all there in the records of the Monthly Meetings. Indiana did have a fairly strong Quaker population also; you should be able to find out what meeting Walter's family attended.
