Marie Steele Inherst of Beallsville, Ohio has contacted me to see if I were connected to her line of Steeles that she has traced back to Samuel and Selah Short Steele. Unfortunately, my Steeles are from Wisconsin and Canada. However, her information may help someone else. If so, contact me and I will give you her surface mail address. Samuel and Selah Steele had 11 children: John B. 1820; Elizabeth, 1822; Stephen 1823; Sarah 1824, William 1825-1893, Alfred, Samuel, Richard, Ellen, Amos, and Jesse. If I read her letter correctly, Marie is the great grand daughter of Alfred Steele through their son Raymond (Coates Station, MOnroe, Co. Ohio) and his son Roy. She believes that Samuel and Selah may have come from PA. Sara
