Hello again, Tracy- Neither Houx nor Kirby show up in my Steele's, but just to be safe, what dates/places do you have for your Samuel and William? I haven't a Samuel in my direct line but do have a couple of William's, the earliest b. 1781 Bethlehem Ct., d. 1858 E. Bloomfield NY; m. Eliza Pitkin. His son Wm. (b. 1825 E. Bloomfield, d. 1897 Porter NY) and great-grandson Wm. (b. 1895 Youngstown NY, d. 1958 Valdosta Ga.) are also in my direct line.
