Carl Henry Steele ABINGDON -- Mr. Carl Henry Steele, 71, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2001, at Wellmont Holston Valley Hospital and Medical Center in Kingsport. Mr. Steele was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith and was a former employee of Bristol Office Machines and Supply Co. He is survived by his wife, Rachel Ann Steele; two sons, Dennis R. Steele and Michael A. Steele, both of Abingdon; a daughter, Linda Hixon of Bristol, Tenn.; two granddaughters, Samantha Steele and Mary Steele, both of Abingdon; a nephew, Dow Lee Pierce of Meadowview; and several cousins. The funeral service will be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, 2001, in the Farris Funeral Chapel with Brother Fred Reynolds and Brother Tracy Puckett officiating. The committal service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Forest Hills Memory Gardens. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery.
