I have VanMeter, Vertrees, Haycraft--all given land grants by Patrick Henry for their service to VA and the nation fighting under George Rogers Clark. All these men came from PA also. Names in with these men included Swann, McNeil, and some of the others mentioned. I still haven't figured out how my Amelia Steele, daughter of Capt. John Steele of PA and VA, granddaughter of Rev.
