Hello, I am looking for the parents of Edwin Palentine Glasscock STEELE b, 1857 in Ohio, but lived in Massac Co. Ill. his adult life. He is buried in Metropolis. He was married to Ada E. SHEETS (dau. of Theodore D. Sheets and Desdemona Stith) . They had 5 children. Marshall Hawley b.1882 Julia 1884 m. Bert Cummins and moved to Minn. Emma 1887 m. Kennedy Samuel b.1890 m. Elizabeth Fay (My Grandparents) Clarence 1904 moved to Minn. I think Sam and Bessie had: Edwin James Donald Dixon (my Dad) Rosemary George In some old letters, G'Aunt Julia (Edwins Daughter and in her 90's at the time) mentions that her Grandfather who may be named "Daniel" came from Kentucky and The Carolina's..that narrows it down..LOL She also mentions Her Grandmother Julia A. Parker from Mass. or Pa., but doesn't say if she is the mother of Edwin or a second wife as she also mentions that Glasscock could be his mothers maiden name. Edwin had an older brother named George who died of yellow fever in the C.W. Buried at Vicksburg. I can use all the help I can get! Thanks, Mary
