Hello Richard -- My John #1 was born 12 Aug 1804, died 28 July 1867. His son, John Wesley Steele's dates are 9 Feb -1852 - 1913. Do these dates match with anything you have? I agree with a statement my mother-in-law made about the Lees in Virginia -- somebody should have given them a book of baby names! Everybody has the same name -- so confusing.
