"Steele" searching for any clues about my great-great grandparents, Manuel James Morris Steele (or any combination of those names) and Rachel Oliver. Manuel was supposedly born in Tn. and moved to Missouri sometime about 1860. These 2 people had: John Lemuel, James Morris, Finis Maynard, and Oliver. These four boys, I've been told, were all born in Joplin, Jasper County, Mo., although I can find nothing to prove that claim. They moved to Llano County, Texas sometime before1882. In Llano County John married Martha Ashford, James married Minerva Kirkpatrick, and Finis married Sarah Ann "Sallie" Gossett. I have plenty of information about Finis, as that was my great-grandfather. If any of this sounds familiar, please contact me. Thanks!
