John W's parents were John (1804-1867) and Elizabeth Edwards Linville (1818-1903)(married first to Thomas Linville in 1849.John & Elizabeth were married in 1851. Have reason to believe they are buried in Annapolis. William A. (1837-1868) was evidently from a previous marriage although have nothing on his mother. John W. (1852 - 1913) was married to Almeda G. (she is the Mrs. J.W. Steele who wrote "Rum's Victim" for the Prohibition Party of 1888). He was minister at Lanham Methodist Church in late 1800s. They had at least one son, Martin Luther Jarrett Steele (1879-1920). Would appreciate information on the elder John (parents, siblings), and Elizabeth Edwards. Debby, I can't help much, but if you're looking for Linvilles, all the ones I've seen that timeframe, in KY, NC, VA & WVA, poss. SC seem to connect to William & Thomas & ?? Linville who orig. came in at Chester Co., PA, 1720s or so. No direct connection for me, but married in to family I follow.
