I have this wedding announcement Married Ottawa,Feb. 26,1884, Frederick Cowan of Winnipeg to Ida May Steele d/o Mrs. James Steele,Ottawa. This was published in the Miramichi papers so I would think there must be a connection with the Steele's there. There were also several Graces and one Marion.
