H-E-L-P P-L-E-A-S-E. I am researching Thomas R. Steele. He would have been born about 1818. He was in Virginia and West Virginia before leaving his family and moving to (?) Missouri. His wife's name was Nancy and the children from their marriage were: Mary, Nancy, Elizabeth, Thomas, John, James, and Jeff. These children's births range from 1841 to 1858. He probably left the family in the late 1860's as Nancy and the children were alone in the 1870 Mason County, WV, census. Again, please, does anyone out there have any information on this family???
