This is a very LONG shot, but what caught my eye is the WA connection and the "Lester" (?) name. I live in Seattle and my Steeles came here in 1865. My father's name was William Lester Steele (1896-1962). I have not proven the source of his middle name, although I have a lead. His parents were Joseph William Steele (1842-1912) and Mertie Annette Miller (1869-1937). I have more if need be. There might be a connection to Nebraska on Mertie's side, and there were others named Rachel. What does the "middle initial "M" stand for? Could it be "Marshall"? Sherry Steele (Seattle)
