Fran, Although your question was directed to Nancy, I will reply as well! My Steel(e)s were in Bourbon County. I have no idea WHERE in Bourbon County, though. I know there is more to it than Paris! I know it was a county of VA not too long before my people were there (I have a marriage in 1796)--I believe it became a state of its own in 1792, or so. So maybe they were in VA as well!
