I also have a Cap Issac Steele born in Pennsylvania in 1830. His parents were Scott and Isabella Gorrell Steele. A lot of his siblings were born in Ohio and Iowa. I have always wondered if the Cap was an actual name or just one tacked on later in life because he had been a captain ?
