There children were: James-b. 1834 Susan-b. 1835 Mary- b. 1837 Ca??anne- b. 1838 Rebecca- b. 1844 Margaret- b. 1844 Hezekiah- b. 1845 Nancy A. - b. 1848 John W.- b. 1851 Alfred C.- b. 1853 Sarah A.- b. 1856 James and Susan may have had a different mother. As far as I can tell they were always in Bond Co., Illinois. Alfred (my gggrandfather) married Virginia Athey Berry in 1880 in Bond Co. Their children were: Henry-b. 1889 Jesse- b. 1890 Alice-b. 1884 Wilhelmina-b. 1895 Fred Henry Steele married Lillian Smith Burke N.C. Their children were William (b. 1917) and Raymond (b. 1919). Maybe one of Fred Steele's children was named Robert. Sorry I can't help you better.
