Sherry, Two things: 1. I have an "Ash" family that shows up in my Steele line. My line is from SC>TN>AR>OK. If there is any possible connection get back to me and I can be more specific. 2. Some people don't have the time or the resources to do family research. Yet it is something they desperately want to discover. So, they hire people to do the work for them. There is nothing wrong with that as long as you have a willing buyer and a willing seller. You, like myself, are not in the money making genealogy business. I admire your willingness to share your hard work with any family member and understand your reluctance to share it with entrepreneurs, but, if a paid researcher takes their time to research a family, in which they have no personal interest, then they should be compensated. And, if, in the mean time, they take your work and help other people find their family then what is the harm? Good luck.
