In Greene Co, AL there was a Steele clan from SC probably Abbeville Co, SC. I am interested primarily in their connection to Gordons from SC and AL, and there were several marriages between Gordons and Steeles. For instance, Fannie G. Steele (1854 AL - 1889 AL) married Bruce Gordon. She was the daughter of Ezekiel Baylus G. Steele (1826 AL -1855 AL) and Harriet C Gordon (abt 1829 AL - 1859 AL). The puzzle I am trying to solve is if there is also a connection between both the Steele and Gordon families from Greene Co, AL to Giles Co, TN in early 1800's. A family of Andersons there in Giles Co, TN with seven children married Steeles and Gordons with at least on of the Gordons from the family that married into the Steeles in Greene Co, AL.
