Funny you mentioned the name "Dorcus" Steele. He have a "Dorcus" Steele, whom we believe to be the second wife of Andrew Steele of White County, TN. This Dorcus was in DeKalb County, TENNESSEE. Don't know if there is a connection to your Kentucky Steele's and my Tennessee Steele's, but that name "Dorcus" leaped out at me pretty quick! Andrew Steele died before 1830 in White County, TN.
