Hi Bill, I am a descendent of Sam. Steele and M. Fulton. Evidently, you and I are cousins. I have believed that I am also a descendent of Sam Jr. and Sarah Hunter. However, others insist I am a descendent of Andrew Steele, son of Sam. Sr. but evenso confirm my line back to Sam Sr. I have been working on sorting this out for 6 - 7 years and havn't any confidence that the "Steeles of Steele's Tavern" can ever be fully documented. At any rate, my line never goes to TN so no help there. Never the-less- we are cousins working on the same line. My interest is in establishing the pedigree of Sam Sr. the original settler in Augusta Co. VA. Debbie Cox just straightened me out on Samuel's son, Andrew. Apparently he stayed in Virginia too, and never went to Tennessee. Guess our Andrew just sort of HATCHED someplace, and then shows up in Tennessee with Archibald Buchanan!
