Thomas J. Steele according to a census report, was born in KY (no idea where) in 1800. According to his daughter Nancy Jane Steele, her grandmothers name was Ginny Asbury. So I found a marriage record for Jane Asbury and Andrew Steele, 8 February 1794, in Bedford Co. Va. The time is reasonable. Sometime before 1800 Jane and Andrew Steele followed her parents. (Thomas & Martha (Jenning) Asbury, to Mercer Co. KY. In Mercer Co. Tax Records I found a note that Andrew Steele had moved to Miami. Went to Miami KY. Apparently Jane and Andrew never got there. So where did they go? The first record I have of Thomas Steele is daughter Nancy Jane's obit. She said she was born in Breckenridge Co. KY 21 Oct. 1832, and moved to Indiana in 1838. Somewhere there must be at least a little bit of a Record of Andrew or Thomas Steele between 1800 and 1832. Any help please? Sue
