My gr. grandfather William Steele was born 1847 in Liverpool, England, son of David and Elizabeth Smith Steele. He emigrated to the U.S.A. in 1867, settling in St. Louis, MO. William Steele married Bridget Smith in 1871 and they were the parents of John W. born 1873; Charles A. born 1877; Elizabeth born 1879; Blanche born 1880; David born 1883; and Irene born 1884. William had a brother, John Steele born 1862, who emigrated to the U.S. in 1909 and resided in St. Louis, MO. William Steele also had a sister Ellen who was married to a Parshall and lived in St. Louis. Would like to exchange information with anyone connected to this family. Jane Purcell.
