    3. Do you know if, by chance, the Buchanan family of Chester County, PA lived in the vicinity of your Carlisle County, PA Steele's??? Is Carlisle County anywhere near Chester County? My Buchanans came from Pennsylvania and settled in Augusta County, Virginia. John (or was it James???) Buchanan, father of Archibald Buchanan, died I think in 1765 in Augusta County, VA. Archibald's daughter, Martha, married Andrew Steele probably in Virginia about 1780-1782.
