Have you ever run across the name "Andrew" Steele with your ancestors? We have an Andrew Steele, born possibly about 1750, who married Martha Buchanan, daughter of Archibald Buchanan and Agnes (Bowen) McFerrin-Buchanan. He died by 1830 in White County, TN. He was in Tennessee before 1787 with Archibald's family. Archibald Buchanan's family came from Augusta County, Virginia. We've not been able to prove Andrew's parentage, but his oldest son was Samuel Steele, born 1780 or 1782.
