Hi Faye Belt, Samuel does not have a son William b. 1731. I know that most references say he does have a son William, but he does not. His will very clearly lists all of the other children, but no william. I am a descendent of that William and at this point it is still unclear who his parents are. Recently I have forund some indication that he may be a brother of Rev John Steele of Carlisle, PA. That family and the ancestors of your Samuel Steele may be related a couple of generations back in Ireland. Names are very similar, ie William, John, Samuel and even Ninian. More research is clearly needed.
