Here is what we know so far: Henry STEEL was born in Winchester, Hampshire, England in 1822 or possibly 1821. He married Ellen MILSOM from Tetbury, Gloucestershire and we know of six children all born in Winchester between 1847 and 1864. In order they were James, Charles, Alice, Joseph, Mary and Frank. Around 1878 the family appears to have changed their surname to STEELE. Hopefully somebody can make a connection.
