    1. [STEELE-L] steele family
    2. I am looking for information on William Henry Steele,b.10-20-1850 in Indiana, county unknown,d.10-17-1912 in Indiana, county unknown. He married Mary Jane Huddleston on 4-7-1870 in Jefferson Co.,Iowa. HIs father was IraC. Steele and Mother was Margaret Hilligoss. Other sketchy information from this line is John Steele, no middle initial available, whose daughter was Sarah Fatke(spelling may not be correct) who lived in Wagner, S.D. Another Steele relative is Lee Steele, no middle initial. Steele's are related to Marcine Tiahart in Meckling, S.D. I have been unable to locate any information on these people. We are connected to the Huddleston's from Henry Sr.'s line. Any help would be appreciated.

    2. My father, Edwin Joseph Steele, was born in 1914 in NYC. He is still living and has told me he had an Uncle Joseph who had 2 boys and 1 girl and one of the boy's name was Joseph. Since all of my father's uncles (Harry b, 1891, Edward, Joseph) and his father (George Joseph Steele b. 1884) were orphans at a very young age, my father has no further information. Any connection?

    2. Update on EDWARDS family: James EDWARDS, father of Elizabeth, was from originally from Ireland and lived in Baltimore. His obituary (do not know paper, but presumably one in Baltimore): "(?smudged ) at his late residence, Rose Street, James EDWARDS, from Auchmecloy ? -smudged), County Tyrone, Ireland, in the 67th year of his age. James Edwards came to this country in 1796 in the 12th year of his age, and has been a resident of Baltimore city for the last fifty five years.
