His father was Elias Steele and his mother was Sarah Beard. Jeremiah's first wife was Catherine Zentz, married in 1889. They had seven children; Lawrence R. Steele, Orville A. Steele, Ruth M. Steele, Ida R. Steele, Edgar D. Steele, Stanley E. Steele, and Laura Steele. Catherine died in 1914 and Jeremiah was remarried in 1916 to Eva Parrett. The marriage with Eva produced one son; John Rueben Steele born in 1917. John R. was my grandfather who passed away in Cando, ND in 1981. If anyone has any info on these, could you please pass it on. Services were Sept 14, with burial at Crown Hill Cemetery. Mrs. STEELE was born in Oklahoma on 5 Oct 1915. She married Howard STEELE, 1941. She was a seamstress for American Uniform Services. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Survivors include daughter Wanda DIRSCHL of Denver; son David of Denver; sister Mabel Richmeier of Golden; 7 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren. Please could you help me find information regarding my gr-grandparents. My gr-grandfather was John Daniel Steele and his wife Sarah Elizabeth (Ball) Steele. He was b. 21 Jul 1845 and she 28 Mar 1852. They had eleven children. My grandmother's name was Laura Laverna. There was Nona Leona,Virgil,Cora, Nettie ,Lillie Maud, Mary(Mamie), Susan Myrtle, John Wesley, Evy Elma,and Leo. My gr-grandfather was a blacksmith there in Green Castle. He was born in KY. d. 1 Nov 1906. I hope someone has information to help me in my search. Thank you very much for your help.
