The children of Isaac Stearns who was born in Newport, Rhode Island, and married to a woman named Phebe: 1.John STEARNS 1765[?] Heathtown,Hampshire,Massachusetts 2.Isaac L. STEARNS [Jr.] 1780 3.Hannah STEARNS 1790 Heathtown,Hampshire,Massachusetts 4.Joseph STEARNS 1791 Ontario County,New York 5.Phebe STEARNS 1796 -------------------------------------cut here----------------------------------------------- The two women mentioned above, Hannah and Phebe, match two women I am trying to identify. They are Hannah (Stearns) Francis, wife of Levi Francis, reported to have been born in Newport RI, and buried in Sherburne, Chenango Co., NY., and Phebe (Stearns) Armstrong, wife of Joshua Armstrong reported to have been born in Massachusetts, and buried in Waldo, Marion Co., OH. (The year of birth given in the extracted posting shown above, exactly matches the years of birth I have established for Hannah Francis and Phebe Armstrong.
