My ggg-grandfather was Josiah STARNES. Family information lists his birthdate as 27 March 1830. I don't know his birthplace. He married Sarah BURGETT on 27 March 1853 in Cape Girardeau Co., Missouri. He is listed on the 1860 census for Pike Co., Illinois. Sarah died 19 January 1861. Josiah died in the Battle of Chickamauga (about 20 September 1863). They left behind four sons ... Albert Gallatin STARNES, Henry Richard Green STARNES, John Franklin STARNES, and James Eleson STARNES. I want VERY MUCH to know anything at all about Josiah's ancestry. I'm also interested in any descent information. I do have some descent information on my gg-grandfather, Albert STARNES. If anyone has any information at all, please contact me.
