Hello, rooters all. Anyone familiar with or working STEARNS/STARNES lines in antebellum Georgia? In Campbell Co., GA, ca. 1860, Rachel S. Jane McCARLEY, dau David and Catherine (BOMAR) McCarley, m. a STARNES and had, among others, Brackie STARNES, who was living in nearby Atlanta in 1878. (I have a formal portrait of Jane taken by the FABER Studio on Whitehall Street in Atlanta.) Many thanks for your consideration and review (more data to follow).
