I would like information re. birth or parents for Peter STEARNE he married Sarah THORPE 25 Aug 1825 at Great Livermore, Suffolk. Peter was a builder, stonemason he came to Tasmania, Australia with his wife and family in 1841 to take up a 3 year contract with Van Dieman's Land Company. I can not find a death for Peter or his wife in Australia. I feel they may have returned to England when his contract finished. His eldest daughter Sarah married Thomas Ollington in 1842 they had travelled to Australia on the same ship the "Emu" Thomas was hired as labourer for Peter Stearne.
