Y. According to the Bond book on Watertown, Massachusetts . . . . (page 513) Charles Stearns, born in Brattleboro, Vt., Mar. 15, 1814; married March 1845, in Jamestown, Chatauque Co., N.Y., Elvira Statira, daughter of Ellie and Louisa Jones of Jamestown, Chatauque Co., N.Y. Can anyone tell me which of these is correct? It seems that the Van Wagenen would be more likely to be correct . The Bond entry doesn't have Elvira as having the same last name as her parents.
