STEARNS of Plymouth New Hampshire. I am attempting to determine the relationship, (if any), of my Great grandmother Ellen M STEARNS, (born 15 Feb 1831 in Plymouth N.H., married Joseph Bixby in Plymouth in 1854. Ellen was daughter of James Stearns and Roxanne Bailey both from Plymouth) to Richard G. STEARNS also of Plymouth. Richard (son of Anthony T Stearns and Nancy Gore all of Plymouth) was born 22 Oct 1838 in Plymouth, and died there in Jan 1893. (Both Joseph Bixby and Richard Stearns enlisted in Aug 1862 and served with the 12 th NH Volunteer Infantry during the Civil War). If anyone can shed light on relationship of Ellen and Richard Stearns, would appreciate reponse. Thanks in advance.
