I was reading some info from the Spencer co Cemetery Books. So you line is from Jacob B 12-24-1811 D 3-22 1885 ?? Oh, this is great!! Do you have any info on the parents of Elizabeth or a death certificate or marr bond? I so want to try to find out if her father was William Smeathers/Smithers. William is my gggg grandfather. Supposedly he marr a Nancy Cecelia Fitzpatrick, which my cuz and I can find NO none info abt at all...just hand down stuff we can't prove. Have you ever heard abt this school she started. I think I've exhausted sources I know trying to find this info. She supposedly has 3 sisters, Betsy who m John Berry, Jane who m Daniel Grass [who so said owned that Knob Hill cabin] and a Mary [Mollie] who never marr but raised a nephew, James Smeathers [whom we have yet to figure out the father is]. Those 3 were supposedly born in VA, so said on descendants census...now I hear Elizabeth was native of Tenn...so that leaves me in a quandry. William had a 2nd wife, Mary Winters who had 2 children in Tn...so wondering if maybe Elizabeth was dau of Winters..this line has been real confusing. Mary Winters was from Robertson co.,Tn, her father being Moses Winters. Who was Jacob's wife? Could you send me your line that inc George and Elizabeth. Be glad to share what I have too. This cemetery in the Knobs is it the one called the Statler Cemetery? I have a listing from Spencer co Hist Soc of who is buried there but dont know all the connections. I have a cuz in Ky who recently went there and took pic of Elizabeth's gravestone. I do not have a pic of the Knob Hill cabin, but my cuz is going to try to get one or find this cabin.
