My Gr Gr Gr Grandfather, Christopher STATLER married Elizabeth SMITH in 1802 in Lincoln County NC shortly before moving to what is now Bollinger County near Sedgewickville. She is buried on property that originally belonged to David SMITH near Trinity Church Cemetery. I cannot document her parents. Could she have been David Smith's Aunt? I have documented four of her five children. One was Joeseph H. STATLER, my Gr Gr Grandfather. Another was Catherine STATLER who married David Smith, above. They are also Gr Gr Grandparents.
