Do you wonder if all the Statler's...were related at some point? Our Statler line goes back to Stephen Stadler who immigrated fr Baviaria Via Amsterdam and the Ship Speedwell docking in Philidelphia Sep 25 1749. He went to Union town Westmoreland Co Pa and listed his occup as German Military. He prob b in German c1710 and d c1784 Fayette Co Pa. His will was found Monongalia Co WV as well as many land deeds of the family. He had 7 children and all we know is a wife name Susannah, probably a 2nd wife acc/to a researcher. Various sp even in this one line were used. Our ancestor Geo Statler who went to Ky/In used the Statler sp as did his bro Stephen who marr into the Pigman family. This Geo marr into our Smeathers family. It seems the Stradler sp was used in Pa and Statler in WV...no clue why. here is a PA Statler cem site www.rootsweb.com/~pasomers/cemetery/sh/statler.htm Nena Kirby Stetler, descendant of Georg V.
