Wedding announcement in a NY Times article dated October 7, 1917: Miss Taylor Weds Lieutenant Statler Miss Edna Elizabeth Taylor, daughter of Mrs. Richard V. Taylor of Philadelphia, was married to Lieutenant De Camp Statler, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Lowry W. Statler of Cincinnati and New York yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock, in the North Presbyterian Church, West 155th Street. The Rev. Dr. John Mackay performed the ceremony. Lieutenant Statler is stationed at Camp Upton, and at the wedding a cablegram of congratulations from his only brother, who is with the New York Base Hospital Unit No. 9, somewhere in France, was read. The bride was in brown chiffon velvet and Russian sables, and carried orchids and lilies of the valley. She was attended by Miss Edith Littauer of this city. Richard V. Taylor of Germantown, Penn., was his brother's best man.
